UCL Team of the Day: Bodø/Glimt
Bodø/Glimt 3–1 Man City

Intensity and bravery. From the first minute, Bodø/Glimt imposed their tempo with relentless pressing, vertical running and total belief. They refused to sit deep, instead forcing City into uncomfortable zones and rushed decisions. The home crowd and artificial pitch amplified the chaos — and Glimt thrived in it.
Kjetil Knutsen’s side were tactically superb.
> Aggressive high press disrupted City’s build-up, especially targeting the first pass into midfield.
> Vertical attacks punished City’s high defensive line, with quick switches and early forward passes.
> Wide overloads stretched City’s structure, allowing runners to attack the box freely.
> Crucially, Glimt’s rest defence was well-organised, preventing City from finding rhythm in transition.
This was controlled chaos — fast, direct, but never reckless.
Patrick Berg
The heartbeat of the performance. Berg dictated tempo, won duels, covered space intelligently and led the press with authority. Always available, always composed, and vital in both defensive structure and first progression. A midfield performance worthy of the Champions League spotlight.
